It's Hard to Say Goodbye

Dear loyal followers,
I am so truly sorry. I love blogging and fashion, and interacting with people who also enjoy these great aspects of blogosphere. I wish that I had all the time in the world, but now that I have a big role in a play, parties to go to, school, SAT prep, college stuff, and shopping, I can't even make a liver of time to devote to you all. I feel like I'm doing a disservice. I have to say goodbye for now. I will not take down my site, I just need more time. Hopefully in the new year this will all change. I will be a loyal reader to my favorite blogs.

A Marvelous Masquerade..

Hello! I want to apologize for being way too MIA the past few weeks! I have some news: I got invited to a masquerade ball! I'm so friggin' excited! The masks will be provided but I've encountered a major problem that I usually don't have to worry about: FINDING A DRESSS! So my fellow fashionistas, I would gladly appreciate it if you could help me out! Post comments, ideas, pics, whatever floats your boat! Here's a few ideas that I'm already thinking about:
A little less hoity toity on this green one.
Please helpp!

Apologetic in Anne Klein.

Unfortunately, I have to take momentary hiatus: this week, I have callback auditions for the plays at academy, I'm going to Providence for a little R & R, and I have jam packed schedules of homework and practicing scenes, pliƩs, and time steps. Hopefully I'll be back on in a matter of weeks. So sorry. But I will keep up with the blogs and comment as much as I can.
Xo+Carpe Diem+See you when I see you.

Lazy Saturday.

Whilst I was laying bundled up in an inviting blanket, sipping yerba mate, finishing my latin homework, and fighting off my deathly sickness (a common head cold), I became hypnotized in an enchanting visual experience. Paris, Je'Taime, a 2006 film directed by the cinematic world's greatest artists, as well as featuring enigmatic and inspiring American and French thespians. Little films interwoven into one great story of love between family, friends, lovers, and of course the City of Lights. I experienced the luxury, art, culture, and love of Paris without moving an inch from my household's brown suede couch.
In other news, I find myself in a constant atmosphere and state of happiness and zen. I can't quite identify one sole reason why, just a sixteen year old girl, a lover of fashion, history, art, culture, and love, is satisfied with her life now and, is pleased to say, will be in the future.
Endnote: I have also evolved in my musical taste. I absolutely adore Brazilian Bossa Nova/samba sounds, and I wanted to share one of my favorite songs of the moment with you all. The new song featured on my music player is called Cotidiano by Chico Buarque. Cotidiano in Portuguese means "Everyday".
I promise, more fashion stuff in upcoming posts.
Are you all content with your state of being?

REBEL.

Anyone else feeling rebellious lately?
By the way, the new song playing is my absolute favorite, electro-pop paired with John Legend's soulful voice: tres magnifique.

Nouveau Clothes & Notebooks

Hello readers, sorry that u haven't been doing more meaty posts lately. Hopefully this post will make up for that! So tomorrow is first day back at school for junior year. And I have to say, I'm actually a bit excited. Mostly to see my friends and meet new teachers. Now when it comes to actual studying, that's when we actually run into a problem. Oh well, my dream of going to McGill depends on it, so that means I have to moderate my hours of Sex and The City reruns. As far as my love life goes, I think I have a plan: I'm going to just date people, I'm not really fired up to enter into a relationship with anyone just yet, probably just play the field, as the guys call it.

So for all my fashionistas and darling dressers out there, here are the little pieces that I picked up for back to school wardrobe. I'm actually pretty proud of myself considering that I didn't lunge at all the stunning clothes that I found, I'm just going to mix and match more of my current clothes.
Excuse the lame picture quality.

This sharp blazer was scavenged by moi during my trip to California. I got it at a thrift store called Buffalo Exchange, and it's Polo Ralph Lauren! Only $24!
These are the new Gap 1969 Premium Destroyed Black Jeans, perfect to pair with loose oxfords shirts, cardigans, boots, and, actually anything!

Remember my post a little while ago that was featuring Rugby Ralph Lauren? Well, I finally got my hands on the cutest rugby polo: a great spin on classic prep. You can find the post on Rugby here.
I'm always amazed with what I can find at Target, and these are quite amazing. Picture: Fall in Connecticut, prancing around with not a care in the world, enjoying a hot apple cider. Ahhhh, can't wait!

P.S. Good Luck with the start of school!

Fetherston, You've Done It Again.

I found this video on Fleur Avenue, and I had to share. This is such an inspiration and an escape from boring life, to the wonderland of Erin Fetherston's fairty-tale fashion.
Enjoy.

Welcome Back, Miss Rachel Zoe.

With one more week today until the dreaded first day back to school, there's one thing that's looking up for me: The Season 2 premiere of The Rachel Zoe Project. When I first watched this show in the middle of the first season, I was under false pretenses that the show wasn't worth watching, or that Rachel Zoe doesn't even need to be filmed...Well in my personal opinion, whoever believes that is literally slapping the Fashion gods in their faces: this woman is AH-MAZING. She puts together the greatest styles, and is fashionista by blood, even if she does go a little bit overboard with the shopping sprees. But hey, she's a girl after my own heart, :)
My favorite looks of hers are down below, and p.s. don't forget to tune into the season premiere at 10 p.m.!
Can you say: BANANAS?! (just a little bit of Rachel-lingo)
BFF's: Rachel and Marc Jacobs
Honestly, the little envious green monster is peeking out: I want this closet!
In one of her signature fur numbers.

Give My Regards to Mathieu Almaric.

Last night, while I was drowning in the Connecticut heat, I found myself being drawn to watch The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. All I can say is WOW. The movie was filled with great images, clever thematic elements. and superb acting by Monsieur Mathieu Almaric, I got chills when he spoke in French during his inner monologues. Step aside Robert Downey Jr, you've been moved to my second favorite actor of all time. I also loved the fact that there was a little dollop of fashion: the main character, Jean-Domonique Bauby, was the editor of French Elle.

Razzle Me, Dazzle Me.

Source: Style.com
A dress. Not a dress to make your favorite dessert in, nor a dress to cuddle with your one and only. No. This is a dress to scream, "Life's not a dress rehearsal, Get ready for me to come your way." Not only is this a great creation, but it's an inspiration for me to break out of my shell, making my haters my motivators. Although my bank account won't allow me to indulge in this gorgeous Balmain work of art, it doesn't mean I can't have this new state of mind with the clothes I already possess.
Has anything inspired you ladies lately?

"Our Feet Will Be Submerged in The Ocean's Hair"

Alright lovelies, I'm off to Ogunquit Beach. I'll hopefully have some new posts. I found this picture at I Believe In Fairies blog, and I fell in love with it. It's the perfect definition of the ethereality I experience whenever I venture to Ogunquit.

A Marvelous Monday..

Why Hello There, Lovers! After being fully rested in MY OWN BED for my first night back home, I was suddenly enchanted by my new surroundings. My mom, the strongest and sweetest woman in my life, transformed from a mom to my personal interior designer! Photos to illustrate:

My closet was reorganized by color and type of clothing, so chic and put together

Shoe Rack
All my favorite magazines and a new bulletin board for junior year.
This isn't entirely new. Before I left there was the vanity but sadly we didn't have a cushion. So new cushion and new picture of the Eiffel Tower.
New fluffy rug!! My toes were in heaven when I first stepped on this.

The rest of my Monday is going great, as my parents and I are getting ready for our vacation tomorrow. We're going to Ogunquit, Maine: the prettiest beach town in my book. Whenever I go there, I feel peaceful and relaxed. I promise to post pictures up of my vacation!

Packing is Such Sweet Sorrow...

Keira Knightley: so flight ready. I have the same moccasins back home!
Source: Google
Today, I'm gathering all my supplies for a great trip home: a good book, music, water, and the newest edition of Vogue. So East Coast, here I come! This was such an amazing trip in California, but I really miss the things that matter most to me: my kitty, my bed, my closet, and most importantly my parents. Being away for so long made me realize that they are the biggest support system in my life, and that I sometimes don't appreciate the things that they do for me.
I'll post when I land home.
Bon Voyage and Xo Loves,

Pretty Little Photos To Wake Up To

As I squirm in my soft sheets as daylight blinds me, I usually tend to daydream of all my favorite things and people. So before you get going for a busy day or if you're already tending to the day's festivities and want to take a break, indulge yourself as I am in my collection of pretty little photos.

I'll be devouring a few of these today at La Boulange Bakery in San Francisco, as I people watch and dive into my book. Can you even think of a better Friday?

What do you like to wake up to?
