Palace of Fine Arts: So beautiful and inspiring, don't you think?

Castro Street: Iconic

Hills of San Francisco. I just adore how the houses are stacked up on each other. So cozy!

Last weekend, my uncle and I explored the jungle of the Mission and the Castro. We stopped in the beautiful Italian bistro Farina. So intoxicated with my panini Napoletano and home made fries. Perfect for a mini Italian getaway whilst in the Mission.

GUILTY PLEASURE ALERT

Besides shows like So You Think You Can Dance on Fox and Miami Social on Bravo, one major guilty pleasure of mine is cool kicks! I absolutely adore pairing dark skinny jeans with smart high top sneakers that add a cool urban feel to any outfit. My newest obsession that needs a spot in my prominent shelf of great shoes ever is Alife Everybody Mid Pro Leather Sneakers. These babies for sure earn a spot on my back to school list.

Berkeley, Week One.

John Belushi in one of my fave movies, Animal House.

  Hello Spectrum readers,
Sorry about being MIA for the past week in my blog, but I can't find any time! My schedule has filled up with school, Jamba Juice runs, scoping out the vintage and eclectic shops of Telegraph Ave, and playing with Molly! (My uncle's adorable pooch). I'm thinking next post will be a tribute to photos: just a post with photos from my life in Oakland and Berkeley so far! I absolutely love the atmosphere, so chill! It's entirely different from the East Coast for sure. Don't worry, fellow New Englanders, I'm not giving up on you yet! But I have to say I'm dangerously close to succumbing to the ways of the Bay Area hipsters. ;) I also am loving my college experience! Although I'm just going into my junior year of high school and the Academy of the Arts, I feel like I've been transported to another dimension where I'm already in college. And I have to say I couldn't have picked a better place! My Renaissance to Modern European history class is so much fun, and a lot of work. But it's so worth it: I have a new BFF in class, who's like me in a lot of ways, my professor is really great; the subject itself is so interesting, and there's a major cutie in the class that I met who I really want to get to know better! This experience is the perfect way to spend summer!
Love and Carpe Diem,
