A Single Girl's Epiphany

Warning, the following post will exude feelings of tiredness, frustration, independence and confusion, to and of the male human race, as well as offensive attitudes towards the "modern woman".

To start off... I LOVE THE MENS: their ruggedness, their comical ways, their manliness..everything. However, being a collegiette in a big city and in a big university, I have come up with one, single conclusion...THEY'RE STILL BOYS!

I remember being a little girl watching the grace and beauty of the Disney princesses; I always dreamed of falling in love and being swept off my feet in my Prince Charming's arms. Fast forward to adolescence: too bad my potential Prince Charmings were only interested in becoming, er- how do we call it? Apprentices of Casanova. My hypothesis at that point of the grand experiment of landing a guy: I neeed to make the first move. Contrary to what my fore-single girls of the old fashioned world thought of "let the man take charge", I needed to exchange aloofness for spontaneity, for a certain desirability that would obviously make the adolescent population of boys crumble to their knees.
WRONG.
Due to recent events, as well as convening with my fellow searchers of the "right guy", we have all unanimously concluded that the old fashioned ways never fail. Why show all that you got, when you can reveal little by little? The thrill of the chase is always the number one "hook" of men, and the single girl will then become the un-single girl. From this point on, I encourage all my fellow single ladies to take this pledge:

"I, (state your name), from this moment on will stop playing the games of tit for tat, put down the articles of how to lure men at "da club", and assume the powers of mystique, brilliance, and allure of my fore-single ladies, Marilyn, Audrey, and Rita, and let the man be the chaser, and us be the chased. Lastly, I will always remember: I AM A WOMAN, AND I RUN THIS S***!"

Now I will retire this rant and follow my own advice: stop looking, a great guy will come and sweep me up off my feet, not the other way around. Human sexuality homework, ice cream, and scary show night awaits.

Resurrection: Engaged.

Hello lovely readers,
It's been a while since I've graced the pages, er- web pages of EWA, but a little thing called SENIOR YEAR happened...long story short: it was bumpy ride..the destination? I am now an enrolled student studying Journalism at Temple University in Philly. Parties, exams, and field trips to the exciting and fresh streets of Center City have dominated my first two months here at school, and I can only imagine what else is in store for me. So to make up to you all for the two year absence: I vow to at least blog once a day and provide you all with riveting reviews, pretty pictures, and intriguing ideas to give you the daily inspirations.
Same girl, new city, revolutionized blog. 3. 2. 1. Let's go.
